Corebridge Financial and Chicago Public Schools Recognized for Strengthening Retirement Readiness of Employees Through Education and Communication

HOUSTON – April 11, 2024 – Chicago Public Schools (CPS) and its exclusive retirement plan provider Corebridge Financial were recently honored with a 2024 Pensions & Investments Eddy Award. The honor recognized the proactive communication and education program rolled out by CPS and Corebridge supporting the CPS consolidation of multiple retirement providers to just one for its supplemental 403(b) and 457(b) plans. The program resulted in increased plan participation, improved participant asset allocation and a more personalized employee experience.

CPS, the fourth largest school district in the U.S., tied for first place in the category of Conversions/403(b) Consolidations (among public plans with more than 5,000 participants). The category recognizes campaigns devoted to explaining the move to a new recordkeeper and includes consolidation of recordkeepers by 403(b) plans.
